President of the Republic will travel to
Bosnia-Herzegovina
The President of the Republic will travel to
Bosnia-Herzegovina on Thursday, July 29, 1999.
He will preside over the Stability Pact Summit in
Sarajevo on Thursday and Friday and hold a number of
bilateral meetings, returning to Finland on Saturday.
The planes bound for Sarajevo will each carry several
delegations. Other travellers on the President's
plane will include the President of Estonia, Lennart
Meri; the President of Latvia, Vaira Vike-Freiberga;
the President of Lithuania, Valdas Adamkus; the
President of the European Investment Bank, Sir Brian
Unwin and his delegation; the special representative
of the Secretary-General of the UN, Elisabeth
Rehn; and Ambassador Thorvald Stoltenberg.
The plane will land at Vilnius on its way to and from
Sarajevo.
