How can we build a good society despite our differences? President Stubb and Bishop Laajasalo discuss values

President of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb and Bishop Teemu Laajasalo of the Diocese of Helsinki discussed Finnish values on Tuesday 28 January 2025 in the crypt of the Helsinki Cathedral.

The President and the Bishop talked about the values that prevail in Finland and in the world and how we can build a good society also with those who think differently.

“None of us will ever be perfect or live a perfect life. Recognising that is a good starting point,” President Stubb said.

“Together, we will achieve better results. Going solo is okay in individual sports. But life is in many ways a team play.”
