On Friday 28 February, the President of the Republic and the Ministerial Committee on Foreign and Security Policy discussed bilateral defence cooperation between Finland and Ukraine, the key areas of which are information exchange, military cooperation and defence materiel cooperation.
The President and the Ministerial Committee also received an update on the current situation in the United States and discussed preparations for the NATO Summit to be held in the Hague in June 2025.
In addition, the President and the Ministerial Committee discussed the Leaders’ Summit in London on 2 March 2025, which will focus on support for Ukraine.
