President of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb met with representatives of the Ukrainian Association in Finland at the Presidential Palace in Helsinki on Wednesday 15 May 2024.
The meeting discussed Finland’s support for Ukraine and Ukrainians’ experiences of living in and adapting to Finland. Tens of thousands of Ukrainians have come to Finland under temporary protection following the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian Association in Finland was founded in 1997 to bring together and represent the Ukrainian community in Finland. It also aims to raise awareness of Ukraine and Ukrainian culture in Finland.
