President of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb met with President of Iceland Guðni Th. Jóhannesson at the Presidential Palace on Friday 17 May 2024.
In addition to bilateral issues, the presidents discussed Nordic cooperation, the Arctic region, Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine and support for Ukraine.
The Icelandic president is on an unofficial visit to Finland and will be conferred an honorary doctorate by the University of Oulu.
