President of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb had a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of France Emmanuel Macron on Thursday 4 April 2024.
The Presidents discussed topical NATO issues, defence cooperation between Finland and France, countries’ bilateral relations and the situation in Ukraine. The Presidents emphasised jointly the need for continued strong and united support for Ukraine.
President Stubb stated that France is an important ally to Finland economically, politically and in terms of security policy and that he is looking forward to deepening cooperation between Finland and France on many levels.
