Presidential couple attends commemoration of the liberation of Auschwitz


President of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb, accompanied by his spouse Suzanne Innes-Stubb, attended the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz in Oświęcim, Poland, on Monday 27 January 2025.

Guests of honour were some 50 survivors of the Auschwitz concentration and extermination camp. The ceremony was attended by several heads of state and government and a large number of invited guests. The commemoration took place on the site of Auschwitz II-Birkenau, now a museum.

President Stubb’s party also included Minister of Education Anders Adlercreutz.
