The President of the Republic's summer residence at Kultaranta in Naantali will have an exhibition of Finnish sculpture this summer. Steel sculptures by Kari Huhtamo will be on display in the garden until the end of August.
The public can see the sculptures on guided tours arranged by Naantali Tourist Service. The garden at Kultaranta is also open to the public in the summer on Friday evenings from 6-8 pm. This is the first time an art exhibition has been arranged in the garden at Kultaranta.
President of the Republic Tarja Halonen and Dr Pentti Arajärvi will begin their summer stay at Kultaranta on Sunday, 13 June. The City of Naantali will arrange a welcoming ceremony at the marina (Kilta jetty) at 6.30 pm. Afterwards President Halonen will attend a concert at Naantali Church, part of the Naantali Music Festival.
During the summer the President of the Republic will work and receive guests at Kultaranta. President Halonen and Dr Arajärvi will return to Helsinki after the middle of August.
