President Halonen to Somalia Conference in London

President of the Republic of Finland Tarja Halonen will participate in a high level conference on Somalia, to be held in London on 23 February. The conference is hosted by Prime Minister David Cameron of the United Kingdom, and the main theme of the conference will be the political process in Somalia and security issues. The humanitarian situation and development issues will also be on the agenda.

At the conference, President Halonen heads the Finnish delegation, which also includes Heidi Hautala, Minister for International Development and Pekka Haavisto, Member of Parliament and special representative of the Minister for Foreign Affairs in the Horn of Africa.
