Vice President of China to visit Finland

Mr Xi Jinping, the Vice President of China, will arrive in Finland for an official visit on 25-27 March 2010 at the invitation of President of the Republic Tarja Halonen.

President Halonen will receive Vice President Xi at the Presidential Palace on Friday, 26 March. The programme will include official discussions and a working lunch.

Vice President Xi will also meet with Speaker of Parliament Sauli Niinistö and Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Paavo Väyrynen. In addition to this he will take a trip to Rovaniemi with Prime Minister Matti Vanhanen.

Vice President Xi Jinping's visit to Finland is part of events marking the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Finland and China. He will be accompanied by a large business delegation.
