President of the Republic Tarja Halonen and Dr Pentti Arajärvi will make a state visit to Estonia on 4-5 May 2010.
During the visit President Halonen will hold talks with President Toomas Hendrik Ilves. The programme will also include a working lunch hosted by Prime Minister Andrus Ansip and a visit to the Estonian Parliament (Riigikogu), where President Halonen will give a speech and meet with Speaker Ene Ergma. Among those accompanying President Halonen will be Minister of Education Henna Virkkunen.
In addition President Halonen will visit the Children's Literature Centre in Tallinn and the Viinistu Art Museum in Lahemaa national park on Estonia's northern coast.
President Halonen made a state visit to Estonia in 2000 at the invitation of President Lennart Meri and an official visit in 2003 at the invitation of President Arnold Rüütel.
