The President of the Republic has postponed or cancelled his foreign trips scheduled for the next few weeks. Participation in meetings will be restricted to a minimum.
As of now, the staff of the Office of the President of the Republic of Finland will handle all potential meetings and contacts using electronic communications. Only meetings that are absolutely necessary will be held. As of Friday March 13th, no visitors except the President’s guests have been received in the Office. Most of the staff at the Office of the President of the Republic will work from home, only essential duties will be carried out in the office.
All staff travel on official business is suspended for the time being. Additionally, staff members have postponed holiday travel outside Finland until further notice. Any staff members returning to Finland will refrain from working in the Office for 14 days after arrival.
