President of the Republic of Finland Sauli Niinistö met with NATO Ambassadors on Tuesday 28 February 2023 at Mäntyniemi in Helsinki.
The President and the Ambassadors discussed security in Europe, Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine and the current state of Finland’s NATO membership process.
The meeting was attended by the permanent representatives to NATO of Croatia, Lithuania, Romania, Belgium, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Italy, Bulgaria, Sweden and Finland.
During their visit, the NATO Ambassadors met, among others, Speaker of the Parliament of Finland Matti Vanhanen and members of Parliamentary Committees. They were also introduced to the Finnish Defence Forces and The European Centre of Excellence for Countering Hybrid Threats (Hybrid CoE).
