President of the Republic of Finland Sauli Niinistö met Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson in Mäntyniemi on Friday, 28 October 2022.
President Niinistö and Prime Minister Kristersson had a good and thorough conversation, the main topics of which were the Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, security of Europe and NATO. The President and Prime Minister also discussed the bilateral relations between Finland and Sweden, coming to the conclusion that, over the past year, they have become even closer than before.
This is Prime Minister Kristersson’s first visit to Finland in his capacity as Prime Minister. During his visit, Kristersson will also meet Prime Minister Sanna Marin.
