President Niinistö met with the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia and the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the U.S. Armed Forces

President of the Republic Sauli Niinstö met with the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia, General of the Army Valery Gerasimov and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the U.S. Armed Forces, General Joseph F. Dunford Jr. in Mäntyniemi on Friday, 8 June 2018.

The President had separate meetings with both Generals on Friday evening after their bilateral meeting.

”It is important and positive that a dialogue of this kind works. Finland is happy to facilitate these types of meetings”, President Niinistö said.
