On Friday 25 August, President of the Republic of Finland Sauli Niinistö received representatives of the Rowing Foundation, who participated in the Presidential Rowing event, at the Mäntyniemi jetty in Helsinki. More than 20 rowers took part in the event.
President Niinistö thanked the rowers for their visit and the foundation for its work in supporting physical activity among children and young people.
The Presidential Rowing event was now held for the tenth time. The Rowing Foundation supports children’s and young people’s physical activity through, among other things, youth scholarships and coaching grants. President Niinistö last received the rowers at the Kultaranta jetty in Naantali in August 2019.
