President of the Republic of Finland Sauli Niinistö had a telephone call with President of Ethiopia President Sahle-Work Zewde on 13 January 2021.
The Presidents had an extensive conversation on the Tigray conflict and its impact on the humanitarian situation and the stability of the Horn of Africa as a whole. The Presidents shared their concerns about global problems, particularly the coronavirus pandemic and climate change. In addition, the Presidents noted the need to continue bilateral co-operation between Finland and Ethiopia.
