President of the Republic of Finland Sauli Niinistö had a telephone conversation with President of France Emmanuel Macron on the evening of Monday, 8 February 2021.
The Presidents discussed the current coronavirus situation and vaccine production. The Presidents also shared their concern about actions of Russia, which have resulted in a rapid deterioration of relations between the European Union and Russia. In addition, they discussed the balance of great-power relations and stressed the importance of dialogue.
