This is the accessibility statement of the Office of the President of the Republic and it applies to the presidentti.fi website.
The statement was prepared on 22 September 2020 and updated on 15 February 2024. The accessibility of the website was assessed in August 2023 by the Office of the President of the Republic in cooperation with the website’s technical service provider.
Accessibility status
The presidentti.fi website partly meets the Level A and Level AA requirements outlined in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1. The Act on the Provision of Digital Services obliges providers of online services to meet all of the Level A and Level AA accessibility criteria.
Accessibility issues and efforts to rectify them
Our website currently has inaccessible content, which is constantly being developed to make it accessible.
Issues have been identified in the following areas:
- Individual PDF files
- A few third-party services, such as the date element in the search form for the events calendar and some functions of the picture gallery (text alternatives for thumbnail images)
Efforts to develop the technical accessibility of our website are ongoing. For the most significant content pages, we aim to correct the issues as soon as possible.
The website also contains content that is not subject to the legal accessibility requirements. Such content includes videos published before 23 September 2020 that are not subtitled, for example.
