President of the Republic Sauli Niinistö will be going to Russia on a working visit on 23–25 September 2013.
The official programme of the visit will begin at Nyagan on Tuesday 24 September, when President Niinistö will be having bilateral talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The programme includes the opening of a Fortum power plant.
From Nyagan, President Niinistö will travel to Salekhard, where an international forum on the Arctic region will be held. President Niinistö will give a talk at the forum, which will be hosted by President Putin.
President Niinistö’s delegation will include Alexander Stubb, Minister for European Affairs and Foreign Trade and chairman of the Finnish-Russian Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation.
